Magnentius RENOBATIO VRBIS ROME from Rome

I just won this rare type for Magnentius. The reverse legend translates as "Renewal/rebirth of the city of Rome" in reference to the defeat of Nepotian; which is funny, since Nepotian issued this type first when he very briefly took control of the city from Magnentius. I will be cracking it out of the slab ASAP.

It was interesting that the auction made no reference to this being such a rare type; the title was merely--

"Magnentius, AD 350-353 ROMAN EMPIRE AE2 (BI Centenionalis) Copper Coin NGC CH VF"

I guess that the seller had no idea how rare of a coin it was.

the unslabbing...normally I don't hold the slabs while breaking them open, so it looks awkward and unsafe-- because it kind of was
